7 monthes ago - By Fast Company

The Versa appears to be the Ionic's smarter and better-looking younger brother.
When Fitbit CEO Jason Park walked out onto the stage at a launch event for media on Monday, I'll confess I thought he was wearing an Apple Watch. He wasn't, of course-it was his company's brand-new Versa smartwatch, which he was about to announce. The Versa features the same rounded square shape as the Apple Watch, but with some angular lines running around the edges. From a distance at least, the device on Park's wrist was easily mistakable for an Apple Watch.

Fitbit's first smartwatch had its fair share of issues, including a large size, which made it unwieldy for many wrists. That fact no doubt automatically excluded the product from a big chunk of its potential user base, including a lot of women. After tepid sales of its first smartwatch, Fitbit has a new model for the Spring with a lower price and a more appealing look.
The new $200 Fitbit Versa looks a lot more like an Apple Watch, with a brighter, curvier design than the chunky, science fiction inspired $300 Ionic model released last year. The smaller Versa arrives in April and should fit women's wrists better. It also comes in a broader range of colors, including a more feminine rose gold model with a light peach strap. The massive Ionic model only looked good on people with big wrists and came in mostly masculine color...
