    Based on a new southward track for Hurricane Florence, Gov. Nathan Deal declared a state of emergency Wednesday for all 159 counties of Georgia.
    "The state is mobilizing all available resources to ensure public safety ahead of Hurricane Florence," Deal said. "I encourage Georgians to be prepared for the inland effects of the storm as well as the ensuing storm surge in coastal areas."

    Hurricane Florence is surging toward the US and is expected to hover just offshore for more than a day, bringing strong winds to the Carolinas even before making landfall.
    The latest update from the National Hurricane Center, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, shows the eye of the storm meeting land at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on Saturday.
    The track is not certain and is subject to change. On Tuesday the storm was predicted to make landfall 100 miles farther north.

    A number of companies are also closing up shop , including Boeing. The aircraft manufacturer has suspended operations, allowing not just its employees to evacuate, but some its planes too.
    At least eight of Boeing's 787 aircrafts were flown out of the South Carolina factory where they are built on Tuesday. To escape any potential damage, they flew to the other side of the country, to Paine Field, an airport next to Boeing's Everett, Wash. assembly plant.
