• World shares mixed as traders ready for more US tariffs

    SINGAPORE - Global markets were mixed Thursday on worries that the U.S. is on the verge of imposing tariffs on another $200 billion of Chinese goods in a mounting trade dispute. Many developing countries are in financial turmoil as rising interest rates and trade disputes rattled investors.
    KEEPING SCORE: In Europe, France's CAC 40 added 0.3 percent to 5,278 and Germany's DAX rose 0.2 percent to 12,063. The FTSE 100 index of leading British shares shed 0.2 percent to 7,369. Wall Street was set for small gains, with Dow futures up 0.2 percent and the S&P 500 futures 0.1 percent...
