    Coca-Cola is sticking with coffee over cannabis - at least for now.
    As part of its third-quarter earning's report Tuesday, The Coca-Cola Co. discussed it plans to leverage a number of its new acquisitions to continue driving its stronger-than-expected earnings. That includes an ongoing expansion of its smartwater, and acquisitions in the sports drink, kombucha, and fruit juice categories.

    Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey said on Tuesday that the beverage giant doesn't "have any plans at this stage" to enter the CBD market.
    In September, Bloomberg News reported that Coca-Cola was in discussions with Aurora Cannabis to develop beverages infused with CBD, one of the non-psychoactive compounds found in cannabis.
    In the weeks since, the beverage industry has been abuzz with rumors about other companies considering similar deals and discussion of the impact of CBD and legalized cannabis on the beverage industry more generally.
