The Senate Banking Committee chairman is asking some big banks about their links to Archegos Capital Management, which collapsed at the end of March.
Senator Sherrod Brown in a statement included a letter to Credit Suisse asking about its involvement with Archegos.
Brown said he wants a response from Credit Suisse by April 22.
