• Voters OK $40M Brookhaven parks bond

    Voters appear to have given the go-ahead for the city of Brookhaven, Ga., to issue $40 million in bonds for improvements to city parks.
    According to unofficial results from DeKalb County Registration & Elections reported by Reporter Newspapers, yes votes were 11,546 or 59.44 percent, and the “no” votes were 7,878 or 40.56 percent, with 12 of 12 precincts reporting.
