    TOKYO - Asian shares were mostly lower in muted trading Tuesday amid continuing uncertainty over trade tensions between China and the U.S.
    KEEPING SCORE: Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 is basically flat at 22,862.79 after morning trading. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.3 percent to 6,116.00. South Korea's Kospi slipped 0.6 percent at 2,460.62. Hong Kong's Hang Seng dropped 0.9 percent to 31,250.22, while the Shanghai Composite edged down 0.2 percent to 3,167.09.
