    Male construction workers have the highest suicide rate of any occupational group in the United States, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention .
    The study is based on information about 22,000 people who died by suicide in 17 states between 2012 and 2015, during which time suicide among male miners also topped the list. Rates rose most for females working in arts, design, entertainment, media, and sports. The study found librarians and teachers have the lowest suicide rates based on occupation.

    The troubling trend of rising suicide rates in the US is getting worse.

    The CDC mentioned that construction workers, students, and stay-at-home moms were groups with some of the highest suicide rates, but the increase wasn't limited to any one kind of person.
